IBM IX approached us with a clear brief: we want merch that feels a little less corporate, and perhaps even a little more street. We were happy to oblige.

Our design process started by exploring their past and present logos and iconography, taking elements that we felt could be introduced in the new design. We wanted to capture some of their rich heritage, while still creating something that pushed the boundaries of their existing design language . We adapted these brand elements into a variety of concepts, which included colour and textural variations.

The final refined design found that balance between past, present and future. It's street, but it's also got a "classic" IBM feel that placed the design in the wider IBM IX brand world.
